THE SOCIETY was established in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1985 and has progressed from its formative years to now include over 200 enthusiastic members. These include members from right around Australia as well as overseas who find pastel an ideal medium through which to express their artistic talents.
OUR VISION is to promote the art of soft pastel painting through the provision and facilitation of various activities.
OUR MEMBERSHIP comprises artists at all levels of their professional development. We encourage and support beginners to advanced pastellists. A number of our members are full time professional artists who are only too delighted to share their knowledge with those who seek such assistance. Membership is open to all those who have an interest in the art of soft pastels, whether a painter or a connoisseur of the arts.

You are invited to attend three of our monthly meetings as a visitor to experience
for yourself the PSA benefits and the warm and friendly atmosphere on which
the PSA prides itself.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday night of the month at 7.30pm.
